BACKGROUND:

Immacurate is young girl who has faced immense tragedy and hardships at such teenage stage. She lost her 2 siblings in a tragic event, the cause of which was not unknown. This loss undoubtedly left a profound impact on her life, leaving her emotionally and perhaps even physically scarred. Adding to her burden, Immacurate's mother is struggling financially, making it difficult to provide her renting costing for the single room they stay in with basic needs, let alone support Immaculate's education. This financial strain is likely a source of significant stress and anxiety for Immaculate, who may feel a sense of responsibility to help her mother despite her own struggles. Further compounding her difficulties, Immaculate's father remarried after the death of her siblings. This decision was perceived by Immaculate as a lack of support and abandonment for they were chased out of the house by her father. She felt isolated and alone, with no family member to rely on for emotional or financial assistance. Lack of support from her father, coupled with her mother's financial struggles, means that Immacurate is likely facing significant challenges in pursuing her education carrier as a lawyer.

Despite the immense loss and hardships, she has endured, and safely boarding at KHVSS, she is a determined and resourceful individual. Her experiences have undoubtedly shaped her character, making her empathetic, compassionate, and perhaps even more driven to succeed.

African children love receiving letters from you, as well as a photo of your family. These can be scanned and emailed to our office for forwarding to our partner in Africa who will print and deliver your letter.

Sponsored children can be visited in country depending on their local environment at the time, your visa, or permit to enter a refugee settlement and arrangements with our African project partner.

Please note: every African child wants to be a doctor or a lawyer, a pilot or an engineer! Your sponsorship may not get them that far, however, they will have a brighter future, whether they complete secondary, tertiary or a vocational course.

It is good to be aware that sometimes children leave the region and are lost from our program, others are forbidden to continue study, some are forced into early marriage and occasionally some die. We hope that your sponsoring experience will be a long and rewarding one.
