NAME: Innocent Maniriho (M) RN038
DATE OF BIRTH: 29/10/2015
CLASS: Top Nursery Class
SCHOOL: Nakivale HOPE Nursery & Primary School
NATIONALITY: Congolese
BACKGROUND:
Innocent's family fled the war from DR Congo in 2015. He stays with both his parents and 8 other siblings. They live in extreme poverty, in a thatched mud house, sleeping on old mats on the floor. The parents go through a lot to provide food for the children and some days the family has empty stomachs because of no income. The parents are casual laborers, working in local gardens to dig and get money for scholastic materials. They also work to receive food (maize flour and beans) for the children. The family does not have any garden or any domestic animals that can supplement the income. Innocent's school life has been disrupted, because he doesn't have enough scholastic materials due to lack of funds. Innocent's dream is to become a pilot.
You can sponsor Innocent for $50 per month.
ABOUT YOUR NEW SPONSORSHIP
To sponsor a child or class, complete the form above with your contact details, naming the child or class, and their number.
We will be in touch by email and forward a form for filling in your payment details and other information. You can scan, fill in and email back to our office, or take a photo on your phone and send to us.
Soon, you will receive an introductory letter from your selected child or class / teacher from Africa, and a beautiful profile card of your child/class.
African children love receiving letters from you, as well as a photo of your family. These can be scanned and emailed to our office for forwarding to our partner in Africa who will print and deliver your letter.
Sponsored children can be visited in country depending on their local environment at the time, your visa, or permit to enter a refugee settlement and arrangements with our African project partner.
Please note: every African child wants to be a doctor or a lawyer, a pilot or an engineer! Your sponsorship may not get them that far, however, they will have a brighter future, whether they complete secondary, tertiary or a vocational course.
It is good to be aware that sometimes children leave the region and are lost from our program, others are forbidden to continue study, some are forced into early marriage and occasionally some die. We hope that your sponsoring experience will be a long and rewarding one.
